Dino Hat

Image
Made this one for the new Porter baby! My niece is having a boy!! One of the spikes kind of got away from me. LOL! But it was a mistake made with love. I wasn't sure if I liked the spikes going all the way to the front of the hat, so I left them and if the new momma wants them on then I'll sew them on. I like being an Independent Contractor

Well, it's been a long hard road but I think I'm finally getting my freelance transcription off to a good start. I do legal transcription for Transcription for Everyone http://transcriptionforeveryone.com/welcome-to-tfe and I also just got hired by Keystrokes  http://www.keystrokestranscription.com/ I do prefer Keystrokes as it's pathology transcription and that's what I've done for the past 20 years. I have a couple times felt a bit lonely for people but then I remember all the jive stuff that use to go on with co-workers. The gossip and the unfriendliness. I mean, there are advantages to having co-workers, like if you have to call in they cover for you. LOL! But I much prefer the company of Pumba and Flower, oh and don't forget hubby, he's out there somewhere in the house. LOL!

I Got A Gig!

Finally got a small gig doing some transcription. Will start on Monday! Its been a bumpy road but I think we'll make it. Check it out if your interested. Use my referral code https://scribie.com/freelance-transcription?rc=78f963e1ffe9cf9ae131b0b1e3b5592e6173d0a5#intro Be Groovy My Peeps!
Well, I've decided to try to get a transcription to work at home. I've applied and been hired by one company but so far they have not sent me any work. I'm on part 3 of testing for another company and crossing my fingers it goes well and I get hired and actually get some work. Starting to get worried with only a very small income right now. Have gone through what little we had saved. Bring on the stress!! Be groovy!

Figuring It Out

Well, 8 months have gone by and I still have had no luck finding a job. I've started wondering if my age is part of it. I feel like a dinosaur living in a new world. So, I've set out searching for something that I can do from/at home. I've looked into transcription because I already have experience in that field. I've come across both scams and legitimate work. The hard part is passing the test. I've taken several only to get an email in return stating "sorry not a good fit". Nothing else, just that. Which is fine but they don't send you the results of the test so you can see for yourself what you have done wrong. Especially when you feel that you have done a good job only to be turned down. So, I'm still on the hunt to find my place and my purpose in this world. Honestly, after having a 20+ year career, I never once imagined finding a new job would be this difficult. I'm also thinking about this affiliate marketing. That might be interesting!
